Product updates – Spring 2025

The latest platform update introduces new reporting features, new inputs for simulated live events, and improvements to the mobile display.

New reporting features

We’ve added two new tabs to the downloadable event report:

  • Live Attendees: Displays data on all viewers who watched the content at any point between the event’s start and end.
  • Post Attendees: Displays data on viewers who watched the content after the event ended, in the replay.

You can download these reports in two ways:

  • From the list of completed events: In the “Actions” column, you can download the report in XLS or CSV format.

  • From within the event: Before, during, or after the broadcast, navigate to the ‘Interaction’ section and use the ‘Report Generator’ to select the desired data and format.

We’ve also improved the detection of viewer sessions, ensuring even more accurate tracking of registrations and viewing behavior.

New inputs in AutoEvents

RTMP and SRT signals

In previous updates, we introduced the ability to stream a recording as a simulated live event (live on tape). Now, we’ve enhanced this feature by allowing AutoEvents to be fed with an RTMP or SRT signal.

To do this, after creating your event, configure the option ‘Capture an externally produced signal…’ and enable the AutoEvent option. You’ll then be able to connect your source signal, whether it’s RTMP, SRT, or the previously available MP4 video.

At the scheduled event time, the system will automatically connect to the external signal and begin broadcasting. When the event’s end time is reached, the system will automatically stop the stream. This allows you to run a fully automated event without needing to keep Watchity Studio open.

Emergency files at your events with external signals

A frequently requested feature we’ve now added is the ability to set an emergency image in case of an external signal loss.

When configuring your event in ‘Capture an externally produced signal…’ mode (including AutoEvent mode), a new button will allow you to upload an emergency image* from your media library or local computer.

If the external signal is interrupted during the event, the system will automatically display the emergency image. Once the main signal is restored, the broadcast will resume as normal.

*We are also working on adding support for emergency video files soon.

Improvements in mobile viewing

With the new design of the platform and the event room we have developed a specific interface for viewing on small devices such as tablets or mobiles.

This change will facilitate access to interaction tools such as chat, polls, Q&A or Kahoot without losing the possibility of viewing the content. The design adapts to the two possibilities of vertical or horizontal consumption.

And that’s all for the latest platform update. For us, as always, it’s very important to listen to our customers’ needs so we can continue implementing updates that improve their experience and that of their audience.
