We have good news! We are proud to announce that we have already started with the release of the new version of Watchity. As you can imagine, it is a totally renewed version, with new features and a new user interface. Our goal is that by 2022 it will become the reference streaming platform for large companies.
How is the new Watchity presented?
Watchity thus adapts to the new market needs, so that the live video platform that emerged from the startup founded by Albert Rodes, Francesc Pinyol, and Gabriel Fernàndez, with the initial idea of becoming a collaborative recording platform, is consolidating as a live video platform of reference in the business sector. Why? Because it allows, in a simple way, to create professional-looking audiovisual content, offer the audience an incredibly interactive and visual experience, and manage all phases of a hybrid and virtual event from the same platform. So, through this solution, you can create professional videos without the need for technical knowledge, and obtain a high degree of customization of both the content generated and the experience.
The implementation of this form of communication has accelerated since the pandemic when live video solutions were not yet thought of and designed for corporate users. Watchity was born in 2017 and now competes with tools like Zoom, offering a much more complete experience and management of events, and supporting large volumes of viewers seamlessly. The goal of rethinking the platform was clear: to specialize the tool, which had a more generalist scope, perfecting its functionalities and adapting it to the business needs of the present. Thus, the new version of Watchity has an end-to-end approach that integrates complementary areas of events, such as data analytics and streaming on social media.
The customers of Watchity include brands such as L’Oréal Professionnel, Banc Sabadell, Generali, FC Barcelona, Honda Motor Iberia, 080 Barcelona, etc., and public bodies such as the Parliament and the Government. Most of these customers have started using this new version.
Watchity completed its second round of investment of 500.000 euros by the hand of WAYRA (the open innovation hub of Telefónica), ENISA, and K-LAGAN, capital that has been used to finance the development of the new product. According to the company, “by the end of this year, we will have consolidated the new platform and will start looking for a Series A round for the international launch”.
