Watchity has its own player that allows multiple functionalities, such as visual seeking, pausing the broadcast and recovering it later, watching moments prior to the live broadcast or having the replay available instantly once it has finished.
But it also has some drawbacks, one of which is latency.
On average an event on Watchity has between 10 and 12 seconds of delay. To offer an alternative for events where immediacy is paramount, for example if we have some gamification elements such as contests from tools like Kahoot or Menti, we have developed an integration with an external player service THEOlive. This player does not have all the aforementioned functionalities of our own player, but it allows us to reduce latency to a minimum, around 2/3 seconds.
To activate it, you must contact the Watchity team as it is a premium feature that has a separate cost. Once it is available, you just have to indicate in the event configuration, details, advanced production options, that low latency is required as shown in the image.

Once activated before the start of your event, simply access the Event Room and enjoy your event with as little delay as possible.
